Very nice looking machine.
I had one of these wonderful transport for a family saloon
Muffler burnout what is the reason
Nice bike❤
Just got a similar bike - Triumph Trophy 900 with the CRK. Very exciting.
I paid 300 cad for my exhaust and it sounds great with removable baffles. Never ever had a problem with slip ons made from chinesium. Your bike sounds good though.
I'm still yearning after a SM or Bobber, but life keeps getting in the way and one of my existing flock would have to go and I can't decide which to part with. I thought the Bobber and SM headlights were pretty much the same but then what do I know? Just rewatched one of your previous videos and yes they are different and yes agree the SM one looks a lot better. Good decision. I love the SM simply because it looks a more practical option, not saying it's better than a Bobber at all. Like them both but for me it's the SM. Would love to have either with a TTS supercharger conversion kit. Pretty pricey I know, but wow, it would be epic, more a match for any Harley. £430 to change oil filter and brake fluid!!!! This as you say is a rip off. Criminal. Even £200 is still a rip off. No wonder you decided to do it yourself. Main dealers are not known as main stealers for nothing. Good you named and shamed. You and Rambunctious should do more ride outs together.
Thanks I think it's Better , I would probably buy the Speedmaster if I did it again and black out the engine its more comfortable than the Bobber on a longer ride
My Corbin seat is on the way. Does the seat come complete with the seat pan or do I need to mount it to the stock seat pan. Thanks, Lovely Motorcycle.
@@andrewsimineri2243 hi yes it comes with the screws to fit to original seat pan
Nice Bike. I have a 64 Atlas Café Racer that I've owned since the 1970s and a 63 650ss completely concours standard.. Noàw the clutch. Yes I use Automatic Transmission fluid. Either age or the ATF rots the Rubber bushes, replace every 5 years. Above all realise that what looks like the chaincase drain plug is the Level plug. You put the bike on the centre stand top up the ATF then open the plug and let it drain to level it shoulod carry VERY little fluid. With that and centrifugal force that clutch runs virtualy dry. It should not slip, was used on many drag bikes back then. The cam on your 650 is the "SS" cam. That was the production racing cam of the period and won multiple Thruxton 500 mile races. In it's day the 650SS was road tested at 119MPH yes that was 10MPH faster than the Bonneville of the same year. If the engine is right and you screw the nuts off it it will do 120MPH. If you really worry about stress fracture, fit late Commando rods, but they are heavier, you will need to rebalance the crank. Norvil will fix all that. The sidestand is a horrible bodged add on. On my Café racer I tool a P11 sidestand and had it braised on nicely so it did not crush the frame tube. ENJOY
You should have done a walk around so we could see more of the bike
I've had two, and done over 50k miles on each. Great bikes that can do everything well. Thanks for the video.
Nice looking bike.
Hi I also have an atlas that has clutch slipping issues ive tried everything but cant seem to cure it. Any advice? Many thanks
Did you have any problems with the motor running badly after you installed the De-Cat and the BC sleeper pipes together? My mechanic informed me that it is highly recommended to replace the factory silencers, but if you do that AND the de-cat it will run horribly and be too loud, better to do one and not the other. Any insight would be helpful and appreciated. Cheers
I purchased 2 K1300S’s which I still own and ride. A 2010 in granite gray with red/black accents (like the video) and a 2013 fancy anniversary edition model. Absolutely love these bikes as they really are the epitome of sport touring with the hard luggage. These bikes give up nothing in performance and bullet proof reliability!
What s this Redford? Look like you are riding a bloody BMW! What s wrong with the T120 Get with the program son
Right on Redford!

planning to get same bike, was it easy to fit rev counter?
Yes there’s a little plug tucked in the right hand side of the tank near the headstock just plugs in
@@RedfordBaronthanks, I heard that hand brake cable is too tight in GS version, I understand then no problems there
Keep it you'll regrate it later
Great looking bike....did you have the map read after the exhaust sys changes. I de-catterd my T100 and fitted the Norman Hyde Toga pipes.....I would like to see how its burning now.....but not got around to it. My T100 is 70+mpg.....mainly A road 60mph max....I use E5 petrol....find it gives better MPG. Carried out several other mods to get it more retro looking....love the bike to bits.....done 6000mls now since late 2020.
Hi no I didn’t have it re mapped it runs really well on standard map
Sop does mine run great....so much better after de-catting......but first time I took the spark plugs out there color scared me after those mods.....in the old days they would have indicated a very weak mixture.....not good.@@RedfordBaron
All engines run like that now you never have to carry out a de-coke anymore 😂@@nickaxe771
Yes other tell me that.....I am used to old school stuff.@@RedfordBaron
Hi have you still got the Corbin seat and it still comfortable just had a quote not cheap ay all, carne make my mind up what to do.thanks Gary
I sold that bike but brought another bobber this year and fitted a Corbin seat on its so much more comfortable
£850 now all in
@@garytubb4089 that’s a lot I brought mine directly from Corbin it was 622 dollars inc postage then about £80 customs charges here in uk
WHAT ABOUT TRADITIONAL OIL LEAKS. YOU HAVE TO FIX A TAP BELOW IT'S OIL TANK SO THAT WHEN BIKE IS NOT IN USE IT SHOULD BE CLOSED.
WHERE IS THE RPM METER.??? MISSING RPM METER.??? WHEN 650SS ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH RPM METER. IT'S PROVISION FROM.TIMING COVER.
It was an optional extra
WHERE IS THE RPM METER.??? MISSING.???
They didn’t all come with one this is an early one I got the bike off the original owner from new the bike was pretty much as he bought it new
Link of the different screen?
What a beautiful bike ! Really wish I could have one 😃
What year? I have a 2018 bobber black, wish I could find extras at a good price. I live in Japan so everything is way over priced. Love the mirrors and headlight cover.
Hi its a 2022
Becareful , The old billiam are now looking for holes where DB killers were and nicking people for it Latest tactic to get some money !!! Shame they ignore the idiots in lambo's etc popping and banging everywhere 😡
Very helpful! Thanks
nice bike it is
Yes, the 650 SS has a hot cam. It was called the sports special grind and it was used Manxman twin and a few other limited-production sports bikes. It was carried over to the Atlas when the Atlas was upgraded to twin mono-bloc carburetors and the same cam was used on the Commando models from intro up to the electric start 850 MkIII (also, the Commando Combat engine used a different cam grind). The SS cam grind was considered one of the best back in the day and it provided good performance for many Norton twins.
I have a set of these and when I installed them on my bike the handlebars now flex somewhat, probably due to the added height increasing leverage. Is that normal/ok? They didn't come with instructions and I cannot get anyone from the company to return my email asking this question. Thank you!
I can't remember having that problem I've recently brought a 2022 bobber it has forward controls and I haven't needed to fit bar risers this time .
Sounds like a bit of a steal. Enjoy
So it's a keeper then?
Yes I will be keeping it 🤗
@@RedfordBaron good to hear 🙂
Bike sounds great mate, looks like UA-cam have nerfed your vid though.
If you are only doing 1500 miles a year, am sure you can afford some seriously sticky tyres for it, still get 2 years out of a set probably! 🙂 Is fun having an urban explore on a bike, agree about London... I won't go there even on foot unless I have to anymore.
Thanks Mate I think they have 🙉
Why is your video only 360p quality? Your T120 sounds lovely.
Cheers, great video hope you're enjoying yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Thanks its great
Awwwwwww , Great bike, even better Brother
I Built 2 of them, look and sound great, I love that 900 engine, just very uncomfortable. I used a Trident and a Daytona, both were rough
Those mirrors in black ate everywhere in Google search as cheap £14,00
I bought a pair of those mirrors in black the other day of Ebay. I've just checked, and they are still selling them for £19
Looking lovely!!
Looks great RB... I like the rear rack personally. You'll have to sell it now you've ridden it a 1000 miles! 😀 It annoys me that we can't just reset service lights ourselves.
Thanks mate yes I’m pleased with the look now I better get it up for sale soon 😂😂😂
😀@@RedfordBaron
Beautiful
Thanks I'm pleased with the look now
ok but i'm not spending extra cash just for some guys name on it. (local dealer has this one ..less than 700kms) my comment from here in the future.
this one was discounted from new around £1200 off so a bargain for me 🙂
@@RedfordBaron sweet !
Gotta love a bobber 👌
Fantastic machine I wouldn’t dream of selling her, and that pure sound man to die for Triumph rule cheers baz.
Really need some image stabilisation on the camera footage
Hi mate, interesting about the cush rubber thing. I’ve got one of these, getting a bit of clutch slip, also using ATF. I’ll look at it in the winter. I used Commando rods when I did the engine so not too worried about them, I’m more scared of the wheels falling off or something 🤣. Also, looked into a Quaife 5 speed, and seem to remember more like £3000. For 1300 or 1500 I might go for it, but don’t need more speed really.
Its defiantly worth a look my Cush drive was like black paste
Hi , I've just noticed your recent reply and I've also recently bought a 650ss I removed the primary chain case to check alls well , then found the sealing band was too big to go back on by 1½ inch (expanded ?) , so I bought a new one from a Norton specialist then found that was too thick , eventually , carefully linished the band thinner , now to see if it's oil tight 😏 ,,,, have you had any annoying events like this ?
